We’ve compiled a list of suggestions as to what you can do to add years to your new floor without hassle. You will realize how easy it is to keep your floor lasting for many years just by adhering to simple advice.

HARDWOOD FLOORS

• Floor Protectors will reduce indentations and scratches from heavy furniture. Never slide or roll heavy objects across the floor.
• Place walk-off mats by entrances to trap dirt and sand.
• Avoid sharp objects, such as high heels and dog nails.
• Maintain a relative humidity level between 34% and 55%. Humidity extremes will cause expansion and contraction that can warp and damage the floor. Use a dehumidifier or air conditioner to pull any extra moisture out of the air. During the heating seasons, use a humidifier to prevent excess shrinkage.
• Wipe up any form of liquids immediately.
• Sweep, dust, vacuum the floors regularly. Never use the beater bar.
• Occasionally damp mop the floor according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.

LAMINATE FLOORS

• Wipe up any form of liquids immediately.
• Sweep, dust, vacuum the floors regularly. Never use the beater bar.

LVP/LVT & RESILIENT VINYL
